Prohibited content … an explanation

Today’s New Matilda has another article on internet censorship, this time seeking to explain why a dentist and a gambling site (amongst others) were on the ACMA list of prohibited websites.

Just because the Australian government has announced a National Broadband Network, it doesn’t mean that their proposed mandatory ISP-level internet filter will disappear. Don’t be complacent people. Read widely on this issue. Inform yourselves. See blog roll for good links on this.
